The Study On Perservation And Utilization Of The Historical Towns Based On Cultural Tourism

Historic towns, which aggregated ours predecessor's wisdom and recorded the substantial history changes as well as cultural meaning, is absolutely the vital region fulfilled with historic and cultural value, meanwhile, the substance carrier of cultural heritage. The historic towns' conservation and utilization is an important subject in terms of civilization hand round while facing the cross of the history and modern age, inherit and develop. The market-oriented economy brings the historic towns' development with chances and challenges. On the one hand, the market operation gives the towns opportunity to survive and develop; on the other hand, the commercial tourism development inevitably effects the towns in all aspects, e.g. the lost of the tangibility of architectural heritage, the phenomenon of cultural island, overloading of environmental capacity and imperfect of management model etc. In such a case, according the special requirements of protection, the limitations of tourism growth was given. This was done also under the strategy of sustainable development and the principles that protect firstly and parallelly with development. After that, this paper presents the equilibrium strategy and method related to the conservation of historic town based on the current situation.The rest of the paper is organized as follows.In section I, a concise representation of the background, the purpose of the study and definition of correlative concepts and the related works were given, then the framework of this article.In section II,we discussed the active relation of town protection and tour exploit, among that the purpose of tourism development, and two-tier effect on the protection and as well as the impetus came from the protection were talked about.In section III, we gave an analysis of the overall situation of tourist industry and reckoned the tourist resources and values, after that we proved the feasibility of starting culture-oriented travel in historic towns.In section IV, we provided the investigation and analysis of the existing conditions and the tourist operating mode of the historic towns summarized the success and failure of city tourism.Section V solved the principal contradiction between city preservation and tour exploitation, cultural heritage conservation and economic benefit creation. Therefore, the diachronic towns could be well protected, reasonably utilized and continuously developed; meanwhile, both sides could be combined perfectly.Finally, we offered our conclusion and future work in section, which was the exploiting of the town aims for conservation while it was the approach and both supplement each other.
