"Golden Week" holiday economy is an economic phenomenon when the economy develops to a certain extent, people can achieve a certain level of disposable income, along with the increase in paid holidays, causing people to concentrate spending on holiday. In China, the Holiday Economy is a new concept after the adjustment of the holiday policy. Since China extend public holidays in October 1999, many people known the phenomenon of urban residents spontaneous travel, shopping, leisure and entertainment as the main manifestations of concentrated sales as the holiday consumption on the economy. Holidays Economy was born in the background of that China's market economy was in insufficient demand and the economic downturn, and is the result of many factors including historical factors, the policy factors, economic factors, as well as changes in people's consumption concepts. From October 1999, China began a long holiday system, in the period of "Golden Week" holidays, tourism, food industry, and entertainment industry" spot prosperity ", resulting in" Holiday Economy "this argument. However, the holiday also brought about a series of socio-economic problems: traffic congestion, environmental pollution, waste of resources, whether economic holidays, it is worth wondering. But at present, China's economy on holiday theoretical research also remained relatively stagnant. Scholars for the "Holiday Economy" on China's economic development to promote overall role how much in the end, the differences are obvious. In this paper, the purpose of the study is to use detailed data to empirical analysis, and based on this, the use of statistical models to "Golden Week" holiday economy measurement test, concluded to verify the "Golden Week" holiday system practical purpose. This problem of this paper is a "golden week" holiday system on the total volume of consumer goods in China the actual impact, both the short-term impact on social spending, but also on the long-term impact of social consumption. Through research, "Golden Week" holidays economic impact on social spending, found that holiday arising in the course of economic development issues and propose appropriate guidance so that the "Golden Week" holiday economics that China's national economy can be an important part of better development, thus pushing forward the healthy development of the entire national economy. This paper is mainly empirical study "Golden Week" Consumer Effect. In the course of the study is based on empirical data on the basis of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis of measurement combination of methods, to ensure that the scientific research and feasibility studies. Firstly, through data classification of "holiday economics" to describe the current situation, and summed up implementation of the "Golden Week" holiday system in all aspects of consumer goods in China changes. Then, qualitative analysis the changes of total volume of consumer goods in China monthly in circumstances, "Holiday Economy" on the same month consumer stimulating role, research the "Holiday Economy" on the driving role of the month consumption. An Empirical Analysis of the next emphasis on using various methods and quantitative analysis of the measurement model of the "Golden Week" holiday system on the annual consumption for the driving role of measurement test. In the measurement on the basis of test validation and the role of economic holidays draw conclusions and recommendations. In this paper, according to the following logic start thinking of. First on the "Golden Week" holiday economics all the social spending through changes in the industry to describe data and then Empirical Analysis of the "Holiday Economy" monthly effect in the short term study on various aspects of China's economic development role in promoting and finally use historical data on the effects, measurement analysis "Holiday Economy" on our annual economic role of the actual extent of pulling through analysis found that "holiday economics" existing problems, and proposed relevant policy recommendations. Therefore,Chapter 1 is introduction, mainly to ask questions. Start from the basic facts of Golden Week, and the recent universal debate focus on the adjustment of China's holidays, in an overview of relevant research literature on the basis of this paper to the study, and research ideas. In the Chapter 2, we use data verification China adopted "golden week" holiday system to each of the various aspects of social consumption changes. Using data to elaborated the "Golden Week" holiday consumption on the economic impact of all sectors, including the tourism and transport industry, retail and hotel industry, catering and entertainment industry impact. Over the years these industries through the use of the data to analyze the "Golden Week" of several major consumption patterns (travel, shopping, restaurants, transport) changes in the hungry, reflecting the "Golden Week" on the leading role of social consumption.Chapter 3 is on the basis of Chapter II, through monthly total effect analysis, and monthly analysis of the industry effect of these two different ways to study the effects of holiday monthly economic study "Golden Week" holiday system in the host society consumer spending is a catalytic role in data analysis and the extent of this role. The total effect of the monthly analysis, we have analyzed the May holidays in effect and October holidays in effect. Monthly effect in the industry study, we selected the restaurant industry and the total retail sales of social consumer goods wholesale and retail trade industry retail sales of consumer goods both the total retail sales of social consumer goods accounted for most of the indicators, respectively, through the analysis of these two indicators of changes in the Investigation of social consumer goods to the monthly change.Chapter 4 is the study of the annual holiday economic effect, using 1992 to 2006 a total of 60 sets of data, use econometric model to verify the "Golden Week" holiday economics of the total retail sales of social consumer goods throughout the stimulating role. Through testing, the paper found that the May holidays and October holidays are two of the annual Golden Week amount of social consumer goods and no significant impact. Then, this paper's empirical results were analyzed explained. Through the Golden Week of social consumer goods in Golden Week incremental analysis and incremental tourism revenues, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the proportion of incremental analysis, we concluded: Regarding China's current situation, although the "Golden Week" for people create a holiday break on the opportunities and objectively on China's tourism industry, the restaurant industry, commerce, and so the short-term development of related industries played a certain role in promoting. But this is only the pulling effect of long-term consumption (this paper use a year) to a focus on short-term transfers, and not very good long-term increase total consumption (this paper use a year).Chapter 5 is different between urban and rural areas through the study of the structure, to analyze the "Golden Week" holiday economy on China's urban and rural This two different types of whether the consumer market have a facilitating role. Through the analysis of the structure of urban and rural areas, the paper found: "Golden Week" holiday system is more of an urban residents has changed the consumption habits and consumption patterns, and aroused the urban residents in the May holidays and October holidays. These two holiday for consumption. As for China's rural residents, and did not have a material impact.Based on these above studies, Chapter 6 concludes: through research, in my view, "Golden Week" holiday system's role is to some extent changed our people's consumption habits, the consumer will be more concentrated in the May holidays and October holidays golden weeks consumption, and promoting the golden week of the month of social consumption. But in the long run, the whole social consumer goods consumption and spur role not obvious. In addition, the "Golden Week" holiday system is more of an urban residents has changed the consumption habits and consumption patterns, and for China's rural residents, and did not have a material impact. And correspondingly raised Some of the holiday economy corresponding recommendations: adjusted leave system, ease caused by the long holiday on a series of social and economic issues; holiday spending will be extended to the rural market and the development of specialized rural resort, stimulate the rural consumer market; launched more and more updated holiday consumption patterns, rich holiday consumer market, so that people can have more choices.
