The Research Into China Consumption Behavior Of Citizen

Since the social security system was established over the world, the economists have begun to pay more attention to the impact of Social Security on consumption. In developed countries, these studies have been deepened with the development of Consumption Function Theory and constant innovation of empirical analysis. In China, the studies about the impact of social security on the consumer behavior of residents are a little late, but they are also of great significance. During the last 20 years'reform and open up, China'system has been constantly changing .The important one is that the transformation of the state– unit social security into the state -- social has a profound impact on consumer behavior of China's residents in city and town. Because of this, this paper aims to explore the impact of Social Security on consumption of Chinese residents theoretically and empirically. At last this paper will propose some good suggestions.Among the main elements are as follows: Chapter 1 is the Introduction, section I wrote the main unit protection system and the establishment of the social security system and development; Section II, through the social security of the domestic and international consumer relations and the literature reviewed, drawn two conclusions: (1) In this paper, it is the occasion of significance, China in this regard is also no systematic studies; (2) According to the literature of the country's social security reform into the country - flat security system and the state - the social security system, described in this framework under the two systems of social security expenditure and consumer relations different. Section III is the thesis put forward the issues presented in this paper the structure and research methods. Chapter II is mainly established model, derived from the mathematical proof on social security and consumer relations. First on the theoretical basis of this model: the life cycle theory, the establishment of a four phases of the life cycle model. Then their amendment to the introduction of social security expenditure factor, the establishment of a social security expenditure factor with the life cycle model, reached the final of this mathematical model is derived, and that social security expenditure related to the consumer are the conclusions. Chapter V, Chapter III is the author against the theoretical analysis and empirical studies come to the conclusion, Chapter IV of the Social Security impact of the reasons for the consumer, make some policy recommendations.There are three principal conclusions. Firstly, in the state -- unit security system, social security has great effect on the consumption. Secondly, at the beginning of this system, social security has a little effect on the consumption. With social security system improved continuously, the regression results show that social security has great impact on the consumption in 2005. Thirdly, the reasons of such results are the following: 1. State– unit security system consists of all kinds of resident benefits, which leads to over-dependence on the country and irrational consumption, 2. With the nation--social security system established, the old security system was broken, residents'awareness of uncertainty and risk increases and residents fear to consume.3. Now, the state -- social security system has further improved, residents have adapted to the system and started to consume with ration and perspective. And with the coverage of security system expanding, consumer psychology of residents has changed, which stimulates consumer desire.Innovation : Based on the literature reviews about the relation of social security and resident consumption, to some extent, This paper attempts to innovate in the following areas: 1. Theoretically : introduces social security into the life cycle theory, then sets theoretical model, analyzes our country's consumption problems. 2. Empirical Analysis :the related studies lack of empirical analysis in China, Therefore, this paper sets econometric model for empirical research by using the derived theoretical model, and finds whether the social security have effect on our residents consumption, as well as verifies the validity of life cycle theory in our true life.3. After getting the conclusions of empirical analysis, explores the regression results at the early stage of the country -- social security and in 2005 by empirical analysis. Shows the differences in the transformation of social security system and verifies the reality.Combining empirical analysis with research conclusions, proposes two major policy suggestions: Firstly, raise the coverage of social security in urban and rural areas gradually, make efforts to set social security system over all the country. Secondly, improve the social security regulations step by step, strengthen consumer confidence, increase people's income level.1.create good environment to make people accept social security reform.2. From the view of pension, medical care and unemployment insurance, enhance people's future expectation and consumer demand. 3. Specify the social security obligation of the main parties by legislation, and strengthen residents'confidence in the social security system. 4. Solve the problem of short of social security funds; ensure the well-ordered revolving of Social Security Fund. Because of the limited knowledge I have, the above suggestions may be a little naive, but I hope to do something in this area and get more good proposals in order to improve the social security system and boost consumption.
