Researching For The Influence Of International R&D Spillovers On Economic Growth In China

The article mainly discusses the influence of international R&D spillovers on technological progress in China. If a developing country will be industrialized rapidly and its economy grows continually, a condition should be satisfied, which technologies make progress swiftly costing the least. For the objective, R&D spillovers are a short cut to all appearances. Using time serial and cross section economic datum gained form 32 provinces in our country since 1980, this article applies positivism analytical method of econometrics to study the extent of international R&D spillovers be contribution to TFP of our country. The results are as follows:1. FDI and our country import department there is obvious overflowing effect to the technological progress of our country, however exporting department doesn't spread it's own advantage to other departments through overflowing.2. International technology overflows can not promote the optimization of the industrial structure of our country generally as regards our country's actual conditions, which displays on the way of overflowing of international trade, but the technology overflowing effect of FDI is one of the reasons promoting the industrial structure to optimize.3. International R&D spillovers have positive effect but negative effect on industrial department R&D activities; furthermore, competition effect is more remarkable than overflowing effect.4. There are different concretes expression forms on the relation between the mainly international R&D transmit channels in different historical stages. Especially in recent years, the complementary relation between international trade and FDI can accelerate technology development greatly.Furthermore, the article researches other factors that will influence the effect of international R&D spillovers. Basing on domestic and foreign research production, the article make an objective analysis the effect on leading country protecting Intellectual property which will bring about on both leading and following country. The article, afterwards, respectively states the influence of R&D spillovers in political condition, market condition and financial condition aiming at accelerating economic growth furthest by R&D spillovers. Finally, the article draws the conclusion and put forward some corresponding policy and suggestion, farther expects the future research in this field.
