With the rapid development of information technology and economic globalization accelerated, the trend from a global industrial-based economy to a service-based economy is showed and the internal structure of the service sector is also characterized by the emergence of new, knowledge-intensive, high-tech, high value-added producer services, which is presenting the rapid growth. Clusters, as a productive and effective organization, can produce both good economic effect and the network effect. We can see these from the development process of the producer services cluster around the world. Producer services clusters have appeared in the developed countries such as the United States since the 60's and 70's in the last century and have been playing an important role in economic growth. Since the end of last century, producer services clusters have also gradually begun to appear in developing countries. The significance of producer services cluster is getting more and more concern. So, this thesis focuses on the dynamic mechanism of producer services cluster and the types of producer services cluster; the differences of the formation of producer services cluster between developing and developed countries. In this paper, there are seven parts in which the points are discussed. The first part of the thesis is about background of research and practical significance. The second part gives the definitions related to the producer services cluster, and systematically presents the theoretical study on the producer services cluster. The third part summarizes the dynamic mechanism of producer service clusters, based on which the types of producer services clusters are classified. There are three types of producer services clusters: Native form clusters, embedded clusters, exogenous clusters. In the fourth, fifth, and sixth part, the historical development process of typical clusters among the United States, India, and China are, respectively, compared. The result proves that the types classified in the third part are correct. According to their respective developing process, the dynamic mechanisms in different types of cluster are concluded. The seventh part makes an conclusion based on the whole research.
