Effect Of Producer Services Cluster On Urban Economic Growth: Jiang Su Illustration

In recent years,with the economy accelerated transforming from industrial-based economy to service-oriented economy,service industry has become increasingly prominent in the position in national economy.What's more,the productive service industry,as an important part of modern service industry,especially increasingly becomes a pillar industry in major cities at home and abroad and gradually presents an agglomeration development situation.For domestic,after the reform and opening-up,especially since the new century,the status of service-oriented economy in urban economy is increasing improving,service-oriented economy has become a powerful engine which drives the economics growth.Among the service-oriented economy,the producer services agglomeration has an especial impact on economic growth.But presently the research process is greatly lagging behind the pace of development of producer services agglomeration,furthermore,in existing researches,mostly manufacturing agglomeration research pattern is adopted to research producer service agglomeration,which has ignored the nature of the producer services owned to some certain extent.Therefore,it is insufficient for the current research of producer services agglomeration on the means and methods.This article firstly summarizes the research of the Chinese and foreign scholars of producer services agglomeration and its effects on economic growth,then generalizes the producer services agglomeration and the related theory of internal mechanism of producer services agglomeration's influence on economy.On this basis,this paper puts forward three assumptions when producer services agglomeration impact the urban economy in different modes.The article selects 13 cities in Jiangsu province as the sample,states the current situation of producer services agglomeration in the whole province and the different cities,and measures the different agglomeration level of producer services of the different cities in Jiangsu by different ways.The results shows that the producer service industries agglomeration scale level of each city is not high from 2005 to 2013,and the productive service industry cluster scale and the resulting concentration degree of specialization reduced year by year,but the diversification level of the urban agglomeration of producer services has been increasing.Finally,the article adopts FGLS panel data regression analysis to the effect of producer services agglomeration on urban economic growth.It is found that the expansion of producer services agglomeration and the result of the degree of specialization and variety indeed have had an impact on urban economy,the improvement of the cluster size and agglomeration diversification has different degrees of promoting effect on urban economy,and the deepening level of specialization has a negative impact on urban economy,namely too simplification of the agglomeration is not conducive to urban economic growth.On the basis,the author puts forward several policy suggestions to promote the healthy development of producer services cluster in Jiangsu province.
