City, centering on human being's activity,is a composite ecological system of society, economy and nature;and it is characterized by a typical dissipative structure. There are exchanges of materials and energy between the compositional elements inside the composite ecological system and the external environment which are interrelated and interacted. With the hasten progress of urbanization, the urban population keeps on increasing and the urban scale enlarges constantly. And subsequently the inter-conversions of the types of urban land-use and the rapid consumptions of various natural resources have caused the worsening of the urban environment and have produced the cause-and-effect relationship between the urban development and the environmental worsening. In order to develop the harmonious relationship among human beings, the nature, the city and the environment,it is necessary to have a real-time observation of the urban land-use changes which are caused by the urban expansion,as well as a discussion of both the driving mechanism of the urban land-use changes and the subsequent urban ecological-environmental effects.Remote sensing is able to achieve and analyze rapidly and efficiently the surficial-and-spatial dynamic changes from an overall, systematic and real-time perspective.Especially, the objective features of the high-resolution remote sensing are even clearer, and there are various spectrums. Therefore, the high-resolution remote sensing is an important technique for the urban planning and the monitor of resource and environment;and it is applied widely in the dynamic remote sensing monitor of the urban expansion.Based on the collection and sum-up of the relevant researches both at home and abroad, this thesis has a case study of Chongqing Beibei district with the data resource of the high resolution images such as a SPOT5 image of 2003,an IKONOS image of 2004 and a QuickBird image of 2007.In the first place, this thesis has a data processing of the three images, with a classification and an extraction of these remote images;this is the primary technique to achieve the thematic information.Secondly, based on the extraction of the thematic information, this thesis gives an analysis of the overall transformations of Beibei's urban land-use.Among those driving forces of the urban land-use transformations, this analysis is given from the perspectives of economy, population, transportation, administration and terrain. And lastly, this thesis gives a discussion of the urban ecological environmental effects which are cause by the urban land-use transformations. The results of the discussion are that because of the urban surface run-off aggravated by the urban land-use transformations, the water substance has been polluted seriously, the water resource has been in shortage, the environmental quality of atmosphere has been decreasing, the local climate has been changed, and the urban habitual environment has been worsening. This thesis puts emphasis on the methods, principles and processes of extracting the thematic information of greenland, water substances, construction lands, roads, and agricultural lands in the remote images. As to the high resolution remote images, the traditional classification of remote images has been far from satisfying its requirements of the precision, meanwhile although various ANN,Decision trees,Object-orient knowledge and Mathematical morphology have a high extractive precision of the thematic information, their applications are primarily limited at the small-scale experimental stage and at present they are hard to be applied widely. For all these reasons, with the integration of SAVI,PRWI,image texture, maximum likehood classification, large scale segmentation and combined with different band-combinations,this thesis has realized the extraction of the thematic infonnation of the urban greenland, the water substance, the construction land, the road and the agricultural land in the field of investigation, and this research has achieved a good results.
