A Research On Constructing The Modern Port City Of Qinhuangdao

Qinhuangdao is one of the first batch of open coastal cities,it has favorable conditions, and has a great advantage and potential at promoting coastal economic development in Hebei province.This study uses a variety of research methods on the basis of a full investigation, and has carefully studied the geographical location,port resources,the ecological environment and economic status quo of Qinhuangdao.This study analyses the opportunities and challenges from the international and domestic and provincial for Qinhuangdao's development,identifying constraints and problems that have an impact on constructing and developing the port city of Qinhuangdao.This study discusses the comparative advantages of three districts and four counties and Economic Technological Development Zone of Qinhuangdao,as well as the development relationship between overall and parts of Qinhuangdao.According to the status quo and development trend of the port city of Qinhuangdao,this study points out that constructing and developing the port city of Qinhuangdao must pay attention to exert their own resources,environmental,economic and regional advantages,seize the favorable opportunity of constructing "strong province in coastal economic and social development" in Hebei province,determine the strategic development positioning of the modern port city of Qinhuangdao,formulate policies and measures in favor to construct and develop the port city of Qinhuangdao.It is not only in favor to construct and develop the modern port city of Qinhuangdao,but also of great significance in implementing the strategy of constructing "strong province in coastal economic and social development" in Hebei province.The full text is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,mainly discussing background:Hebei Government attaches great importance to coastal economic development,and puts forward the strategic objectives of constructing "strong province in coastal economic and social development" at the Seventh Party Congress;coastal economy is critical to economic development of countries in the world,and speeding up port construction is an important aspect of developing the coastal economy,Japan and the Netherlands can not develop well without strong support from excellent ports;Through reforming and opening up for three decades,coastal economy grows rapidly in China,coastal open cities and coastal economic open zones have gained great development,the development of Dalian,Qingdao, Weihai and the Yangtze River Delta has greatly promoted coastal economy in China; Qinhuangdao has the basis and conditions of constructing and developing a modern port city, and it is important in the process of constructing "strong province in coastal economic and social development" in Hebei province.The second part is the literature review,mainly summarizing the researches of coastal economy,port construction and port city development at home and abroad.The third part mainly uses the research method of comprehensive analysis,discussing Qinhuangdao's development status from four aspects:the status of Qinhuangdao,Qinhuangdao's strategic development positioning,comparative advantages of three districts and four counties and Economic Technological Development Zone,the development relationship between overall and parts of Qinhuangdao.The forth part focuses on the problems,opportunities and challenges in constructing and developing the port city of Qinhuangdao.The fifth part proposes suggestions.According to the status and development trend of Qinhuangdao,it proposes suggestions:Manpower shoreline resources and adjust the layout of port construction;coordinate regional cooperation and create economic plate Jidong; coordinate Hebei "hatchback front-line" development strategy;coordinate the port and the hinterland,and serve for "East outing and West Alliance" strategy;people-oriented,to enhance the introduction,sharing and cooperation of talents;seize and make good use of new opportunities to relevant industries in the city brought by the Olympic economic.The last part is conclusions in this study.In this study,the main innovation points are as follows:First,the paper further supports and enriches the thesis of "coastal economic and port construction are very important" through listing examples at home and abroad such as the development of Weihai and the Yangtze River Delta,the development of Japan and the Netherlands.Second,this article not only discusses the overall development status of Qinhuangdao, but also analyses the development advantages of the Harbor Area,Beidaihe District, Shanhaiguan District,Funing County,Changli County,Lulonng County,Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County,Economic and Technological Development Zone.And it is the first time to discuss the development relationship between overall and parts of Qinhuangdao deeply.
