Research On The Interaction Development Between The Port And City Of Qinhuangdao

With the rapid development of the economic globalization and regional economic integration, international trade and the cross-regional floating of factors of production develop rapidly. Therefore, lots of port cities seize the opportunities, and try to develop the port economy, and realizing the interaction between the port and city, gradually become the typical integration of the port and city, such as Rotterdam and Singapore. As an undeveloped port city, the benign interaction between the port and the city is very important for the development of Qinhuangdao in the future. Therefore, This article analyzed the current situation of interaction between the port and the city in Qinhuangdao systematical, proposed the targeted suggestions for the benign interaction between the port and the city, based on the foreign advanced experiences.Firstly, this article narrative the theories of Port economics and Regional economics, using the methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, describe the current situation of interaction between the port and the city in Qinhuangdao. There are achievements, and there are also some problems, such as the unbalanced state between the port and the city, the low relations among the industries, the single supply of the port, backward of management systems.Secondly, this article collects lots of reference material, introduce the detailed development experiences of Rotterdam and Singapore, and summarize the enlightenment for the benign interaction between the port and the city for Qinhuangdao.Finally, this article summarizes the advantages and potential for the interaction between the port and the city for Qinhuangdao, using the empirical analysis and normative analysis, produced suggestions and measures. Including support of policy, formulating development strategies, improving the industrial systems of the port, developing the characteristic tourism economy. Especially, in he key period of the Qinhuangdao port's listing, the port should introduce strategic investment, and try to become the center of the logistics and the container transportation in the north; Besides, this article insist that Qinhuangdao port should improve the E-commerce system, management information system, modern logistics information system, etc. in order to realizing network construction of logistics information.
