Research On The Development Of Trade In Services Of Tianjin And The Related Policies Selection

Nowadays, the international trade in services has become a country or a region's performance of economic competitiveness. The trade in services of Tianjin has got a certain development, but the overall level is still relatively backward, which directly restricts the long-term development of Tianjin. Therefore, we should make policies to promote the development of the trade in services of Tianjin on the basis of its actual situation and the current international and domestic situation. It is of great strategic importance. Firstly, this paper introduces the theory of the dynamic comparative advantage of trade in services through factor accumulation, technological progress in the development of trade in services, and the impact of the mechanism of trade in services to capital, human capital and technological progress. Then, the author selects the United States, the United Kingdom, India and HongKong as the sample countries and areas to analyze their changes of the trade modes and the comparative advantages in all sectors. This part is based on the perspective of the dynamic changes of the comparative advantage of trade in services. And the relevant data is selected from UNCTAD database. The measures of indicators contain the trade quantum and the symmetric revealed comparative advantage (RCAS). Afterwards, the experience of the sample countries and areas is given to provide reference for Tianjin. Subsequently, the author analyzes the comparative advantage of all the sectors in the trade in services of Tianjin, and finds the comparative strengths and gaps through comparing Tianjin with the samples. Tianjin has comparative advantages in the sectors of transport, construction and personal, cultural and recreational services. Based on the analysis, the author uses the empirical analysis to explore the factors that influence the development of trade in services of Tianjin. The empirical results show that the factor accumulation and technological progress are important factors. Finally, to promote the development of the trade in services of Tianjin, optimize the foreign trade structure of Tianjin, and impel Tianjin's economics increasing sustainably, this paper puts forward the overall policy framework and specific countermeasures.
