Firstly,this article briefly describes the development of the logistics industry at home and abroad,As well as the demand for logistics research and analysis and forecasting of the situationm.Through comparison with domestic and international situation,clearly the gap in between practice and theory at home and abroad,also makes it clear that the great development potential of the domestic logistics industry.Then through the analysis of the logistics of Xi'an In such a background,get out the need for urgency of the Xi'an International Port District,and its significance,As well as the importance of each other between the two.Secondly,this article describes the market position of Xi'an International Port District and logistics related infrastructure construction in Xian,it analysises the geographical advantages and traditional sectors with a competitive edge of Xi'an,at the same time,it analysises relationship between the logistics industry in the development of Xi'an and Xi'an Economy.Followed it point out the importance of the logistics demand forecast in the planning of Xi'an International Port District.After introduction,compared the related methods to the forecast,ultimately it chosen the gray system method and neural network forecasting method of the demand forecasting for this paper.Finally,after selecting methods and indicators to the forecast,it forecasted the freight,warehousing and distribution processing volume of Xi'an International Port District with the prediction method,And then it integrated the two results of forecast methods and optimized the two results,On this basis it provides a basis for decision-making support to the planning and construction of Xi'an International Port District.
