Since 21st July 2005, our country started to implement a new exchange rate policy– floating exchange rate which is on the basis of market supply and demand and regards a package of currencies as reference to adjust and manage our exchange rate. With the continuous and rapid development of our international trading and frequent fluctuation of exchange rate, exchange rate risk especially exchange rate trading risk is too huge to be neglected. It has been a long term task for every trading company to avoid exchange rate risk effectively and to occupy more international market in future.The subject of this thesis is the research of exchange rate risk's control and management for trading company under the background of new exchange rate policy. And also this thesis takes the example - Benteler Distribution (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. as a basis to research for trading company how to avoid exchange rate trading risk according to its own business character.From discussing the exchange rate risk environment and the current exchange rate risk management's situation of the trading company under the new exchange rate policy, this thesis will analyze and discuss trading company how to avoid exchange rate risk and main exchange rate trading risk. And also this thesis will take the writer's company as an example to carefully introduce micro– company how to control her exchange rate trading risk according to her own business character. The final purpose of this thesis is to emphasize the importance for trading company to control and avoid the exchange rate trading risk.
