Based on the land-use dataset that interpreted from Landsat TM images in four periods, the dissertation focus on the change of land use of Beijing-Tianjin sand source district and analyse Land-use/cover change(LUCC) process in the distict and the influence of the control engineering.During last few decades, the land use change rate has been accelerated and the land use pattern has taken profound changes with the increase of population and the improvement of scientific technology.Land-use/cover change(LUCC) has become not only the focus of global environmental change studies, but also the important problems concerning the social economy sustainable development.Based on the multiple-scale land use spatial-temporal databases, the author analyzed the land use spatial-temporal change process and rules in Beijing-Tianjin sand source district. The LUCC process include two aspects-change of land use area and concersion between different land use. The general characters of land use quantity structure in 2000 were that grassland was dominant.Secondly were forest and farmland. The farmland_ area were keeping increasing but the increase amplitude decreased. The grassland area were keeping decreasing and the decrease amplitude decreased.Spatial pattern progress include two parts-the temporal change process and temporal differentiation pattern.Temporal differentiation pattern conclude the area difference and speed difference in different district. The conclusion shows different LUCC progress in different district. The conclusion shows that Beijing-Tianjin sand source control engineering has succeed change the degradation trend of land use in the district.
