Information asymmetry is an important characteristic of market economy. With the constant development of tourist industry in recent years, the influence of the information asymmetry is very obvious in the tourist market, influence which information asymmetry on causing in tourism industry is not a concrete problem any more, but has risen to the aspect on the whole market. The study on information asymmetry of tourist market has already become the hot topic of industry. It will become a new tourism research topic to study type and cause of the information asymmetry and to strengthen the researches on regulation countermeasure of information asymmetry in China's tourism market.This paper, firstly, summarize both the development of China's tourism market and the research results and related theory on information asymmetry from home and abroad for tourism market in recent years. And then, it analyzes the asymmetric information situation, forms and harms in the tourist market, combining the development of China's tourism market. On this basis, this paper emphatically brings forward the corresponding and the suggestions that must been taken on the collaborative efforts from the government, the market trading shall be both sides and a third force (i.e. government regulations and self-discipline regulations and social regulations) to minimize the damage caused by phenomenon in the, to foster a healthy and sustainable tourism market finally.
