Study On Corporation Boundary Theory And Corporation Development Strategy

Accompanied with the arrival of the age of knowledge-based economy,especially the rapid development and application of the internet technology, the marketing expenses and administrative expenses demonstrate the downward trend at the same time inside enterprises. In order to gain living and development in the tide of economic globalization, more and more enterprises begin to adjust the organization structure and the boundary of the corporation according to the change of the surroundings. Since 1990's, transaction cost theory has got tremendous development and this promotes peoples'awareness and understanding towards the regulation of the corporation's boundary. At the same time, the development of corporation theory, especially the resource based theory and corporation capability theory, offers new methods and new viewpoints in the decision of corporation development target and mode, the cultivating and use of core competence.Based on the studies of forefathers' theory achievement, the thesis applies the management, strategic economics and the new system economics to study the corporation boundary systematically. The purpose of this is to try to explore the factors that influence the corporation's vertical boundary, the horizontal boundary and the general boundary. Under the influences of all of the factors, the thesis tries to get the foundation that can help them to set down the integration strategy, the diversification strategy and the strategic alliances.The main content of the thesis is composed of seven chapters: the first and the second chapter is the preface and literature review. The third chapter starts with enterprises'scale economy and scope economy. And then discusses the methods to determine the enterprises'scale and analyses the factors that influence enterprises'boundary systematically. The fourth chapter researches the enterprises'diversification strategy after analyzing their diversification boundary. The fifth chapter investigates the factors that influence the change of vertical boundary and tries to get the foundation influencing vertical strategy. The sixth chapter is to research the new tendency of the enterprises'boundary. And then interprets the economic motive towards the conformation of strategic alliances. The seventh chapter summarizes the whole thesis and raises the future goal.
