International Labour Standards And Local Labour And Social Security Administration

With the deepening globalization process,local administrations have become an increasingly important link in Chinese diplomatic political process,and the relationship between Chinese local administrations and international organizations is developing in a fast pace.After China's entry into WTO,International labour standards(ILS) have greater impact upon Chinese labour rights protection work. Meanwhile,the local administrations have played an important role in the interaction between China and ILS,as well as International Labour Organization(ILO).Based on a brief review on the evolution and development of ILS and Chinese national and local labour legislation,this paper has discussed and analyzed Chinese labour standards and the comparison between Chinese labour standards and ILS,as well as corporate social responsibility(SA8000).With a case study of Shanghai local administration's interaction with ILS by acting as the implementer,local legislator, experimenter,facilitator,pioneer,as well as guider,this paper has analyzed,on the background of glocalization,the important role of Chinese local administrations played in the interaction and relationship development between China and ILO,ILS and other international regimes.
