In the traditional international trade,both parties of transaction take commercial activities in different places for the product order,sale,distribution,payment, negotiation and so on.Under the network environments,commercial places and the modes of business operation of international trade have greatly changed.The entire trade activity includes conversation,discussion,inquiry,negotiation,order,exchange, settlement,replacement.All these activities were operated on the network and enhance trade efficiency greatly.At the same time,electronic commerce exceeds traditional pattern with one-way logistics,relies on the network and puts the logistics, product flow,information flow,capital flow and so on into a platform.Resources sharing and business reorganization can be done on this platform.As consequences, the running cost can be reduced,capital turnover will be accelerated,management's quality will be upgraded,,ability to adopt to market can be improved.Furthermore, people can use the information,get to know the market and share resources fully by electronic commerce.In brief,as a new mode of trade through Electronic Data Interchange,electronic commerce exceeds the limitation of space and time,accelerates the commercial cycle, uses limited resources with high efficiency,reduces the cost,enhances the profit and enterprise's international competitive power.Therefore,electronic commerce is a new revolution in the international trade.The electronic commerce broadens the space and place,shortens the distance and time,simplifies the procedure and process,causes the glohalization,intellectualization and simplification of the international trade.That is an epoch-making revolution.
