Study On Beef Cattle Industrial Chain Development In Tongliao City

Tongliao City in Inner Mongolia is located in the hinterland of Horqin grassland, it is the economic district that both in agricultural and pastoral farming. It is called the "granary of Inner Mongolia" and "cattle's villages". Because of the unique resources and geographical advantages, Tongliao City becomes Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's as well as China's region that development of beef cattle industry. How to develop beef cattle industry scientifically, turn the resource advantages into economic advantages and competitive advantages?They play important parts on increasing the income of peasants and herdsmen, promoting Tongliao City's industrial structure adjustment and optimization ,achieving the strategic objective that development the western region ,as well as enhancing the agricultural comprehensive production capacity.In this paper, Tongliao City beef cattle industry is taken as study objective. This paper make use of qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and empirical analysis, focuse on beef production and consumption areas. This paper study Tongliao City beef cattle industry's slaughter and processing, marketing and consumer segments from 1985 to 2007 respectively, obtain factors that affect beef cattle production as follows: agricultural mechanization, beef prices, grain production, the average price of grain and beef consumption . Tongliao City beef cattle industry development has great potential, but there are some problems as well.The problem in beef cattle slaughtering process is contamination of beef , and beef can not be curied acid after slaughtered, which has a direct impact on beef taste and sensory; The problem in beef processing is carcass is saled without curing acid, as a result tenderness is poor; Tongliao City consumption of beef is lagged production of beef. On this basis ,this paper take proposals for improving meat and promoting Tongliao City beef cattle industry .
