As such, mergers and acquisitions has gradually become a significant means for China's enterprises to expand their economies of scale, enter the new industry, operate capital and invest, in the background where China's market economy become gradually perfect and sophisticated. However, is China's M&A really able to improve business performance for the enterprises?Therefore, this paper, quoting 97 listed companies who experienced the M&A in 2002 as research samples, using financial indicator method to make empirical research and analysis, compared the long-term (before and after M&A) changes in performance in the overall sample enterprises, and also it studied the influence of district difference, M&A difference, industry difference and etc on the business performance. The study result of this paper, in some extent, can be the decision making basis for the M&A activity stakeholders. And also it provided some political suggestion to the listed companies in China on M&A in the final, which may help improve our M&A market and enhance the success rate of M&A events. |
