Folk Tourism attaches great importance to China's tourism industry.Folklore theme park has been an effective means of tourism development.It is characterized by model of folklore and enclave space,and it is the ideal research model of the interpretative-folklore.The paper takes the field work that have been done in the Splendid China Folk Culture Village as the first-hand information.Modern tourism didn't intervened between folk and tourism untill the 20^th century,China's current process of folk tourism exploitation little regards the factors bearing folklore.Folklore's own characteristics naturally make itself the modern tourism resources and these characteristics lead to the authenticity of tourism issues.Modern tourism, as a kind of Commercial activity,extracts folklore from tradition and life,then reconstructs "Interpretative-Folk".In tourism context,what display to tourists is not the folklore of life but the interpretative-folklore which performed in order to meet the tourists' demands,as well as a variety of folklorismus aims of the local people,shows consiously the tourist the contents of folklore which have been embellished.Interpretative-folklore is characterized by performance and representation.Performance of interpretative-folklore is strategic.It's contents decided by some factor,such as the needs and feedback from visitors,the folklorismus and economic purpose of the hosts.Performances of interpretative-folklore may be more attractive and satisfying than the absolute truth.Certainly,successful interpretative-folklore must root in ture folklore.Because of the display functions and the spatial and temporal limits,the construction of folklore travel area can be equated to the writing of ethnogragh.Representation is the way with which the tourism practitioners write.The representative things of folklore should be able to represent the overall appearance of the folk culture and the collective personality of a certain ethnic group.In the context of tourism,representation of folklore also shoud be able to fit the tourists' previous impression which consist of authoritative expression.In the folklore tourism context,the folklore content the displayed to the tourist is not absolutely true pure folk,but a romantic truth,the authority reality,the authenticity on stage,strategic performance of folklorismus,partly anthenticity that ethnograph could do.Even the zero-decorated area of folklore travel can only be part of the truth.Nevertheless,there are still some certain positive effect on interpretative-folklore of tourism,reflecting in the spread and heritage of folklore.Folk Tourism,which are generally concerned about the commercialization of foklore,is a way for local folklore to get equal status in the world.
