As people have improved their standards of living and our country has accessed to WTO,the domestic automobile demand is increasing.Between The major automobile companies are more intense competitive,the domestic auto market environment is undergoing enormous changes.Because of our country have lots of small-scale duplicate of the car production factory,which are getting low level of Products,slow technical progress,the overall performance of the automobile industry is not optimistic.The main contents of this paper and work as follows:first,through the in-depth research on domestic and foreign enterprise's development of theoretical performance evaluation and the analysis of the traditional performance evaluation methods,Data envelopment analysis method is applied to the automobile industry performance evaluation,which have advantage on dealing with multi-input multi-output problem. Second,According to DEA evaluation method,build the automobile industry performance evaluation of input and output indicators.Through empirical research analyze the 1992-2007 evaluation of the performance of the automobile industry,then analyst the different capital structure of the automotive industry.By comparing the analysis and synthesis analysis,pointing out that the problem.At last,Evaluated on the basis of the results put forward the performance of the automotive industry on how to improve the level of responseOn the other hand,empirical results show the DEA performances are accuracy and feasibility of evaluation in the automobile industry.It is a great attempt for the further applications of the DEA in the field,and give full play to their relative effectiveness in the evaluation of the efficiency of resource allocation.
