Chinese traditional medicine has a long history. People have used Chinese traditional medicine for thousands of years. Its content is extensive and profound, and it has the unique theory. Modern people are very precious ancestors left the great valuable asset. Our country also has the most abundant natural medicine resources all over the world. With the global economic integration and deepening of Chinese opening up, Chinese medicine industry has become one of the strong and profitable industries in China, and it also becomes a new economic growth point and pillar of Chinese pharmaceutical industry. In recent years, the capacity of global herbal market becomes bigger and bigger, for consumers are becoming much favor natural medicines. And natural medicine has become the important direction of development all over the world. With the natural botanic drug are attached importance in the international market, its global sales is also increased rapidly, which provides a broad international space for the internationalization of Chinese medicine industry. Chinese medicine industry in our country is faced with the best opportunities beyond the memory man. But if we want to develop the international market of the Chinese medicine industry successfully, we should first overcome some limitations, for example the different cultural background over the world, the safety question and the low level of modernization of Chinese traditional medicine, and the imperfect product quality standards. At the basis of the development environment of traditional Chinese medicine industry, the author of this paper describes a few different aspects of Chinese traditional medicine, for example the status quo of the global herbal medicine market and the corporations of our country at international and regional market, import and export trade, international policies and regulations etc. The author also expounds the internal development of the Chinese medicine industry in our country, the existing laws and regulations, the marketing mode of Chinese corporation operated in the international market, and the internal problems existed in the domestic Chinese traditional medicine industry. The author explains the status quo of Chinese medicine international market and reveals the constraints of Chinese medicine industry in our country to enter the international market by analysis the aspects mentioned above. And the author also analyzes the characteristics of the international market from the perspective of macro strategic. The author suggests that we should learn from the successful experience of these outstanding enterprises how to open up of the international market and then make international development strategies and countermeasures suitable for the Chinese medicine industry in our country.
