Northeast Officials Fighted To Defend The Mine-rights In Tianbaoshan Silver-mine(1901-1915)

Northeast China had been rich in mineral resources,were called"Northeast is the world's most mineral-rich".The Qing government implemented blocked policy in the northeast,so the mineral development was quite slow.The early 20th century, Russia, the United States, Japan and other powers plundered the mineral resources in the northeast of china.Several well-known mining areas in northeast were plundered by the powers, such as Jiapigou gold mine and Fushun coal mine.Tianbaoshan silver-mine,as a typical silver-mine in Jilin province,was more concerned by the powers.Because Chengguangdi entered into a contract with American businessman,it was carried out the abolition of contract negotiations between in both sides;then,Chengguangdi entered into a contract privately with Japanese businessman,Japan took advantage of it to fight for the sovereignty of"Jiandao".After the Jiandao problem was resolved,northeast officials started the negotiations with Japan in order to establish an enterprise in Tianbaoshan silver-mine by themselves. Initial stages of the Republic of China, the Republic of China also negotiated with Japan actively.
