A jurist named Vico from Italy mentioned in New Science, "Mythos and legend is not the lie of fact. It is a kind of exact and mature method to understand, express, and named the things. So the earliest science that the human have ever learned is Mythos". In the very far ancient times, the mythos is our ancestors' important mean of expression and dissemination of ideas; extend to the ancient times, the mythos is the way to convey the will of the ruling class and the public cultural heritage; now, mythos has become a literary theme, and an important clue for people to search the footsteps of their ancestors.As a country with an ancient civilization, the mythos which was descended are abundant, the intension and theme are profound, and the represent form are multiple. As the development of the research in the field of mythology, some achievement has been had. The research of mythos is not only been limited in the field of literature, philosophy, and history, but also become an important study object for cross-research.As the development of the regional tourism, all sorts of tourism resource should be used by carefully considering. As an important kind of intangible cultural heritage, the function of mythos should be emphasized. According to the result of mythology research, to think of the basis of tourism exploitation, study on the feasibility of combination of mythos and tourism is the purpose of this article.The paper try to take the bird's mythos in the area of Yangzi River Valley as an example, focus on the monolithic development, take relevant original mythos theme as clues, and think of the market value and the social value of them. It is also try to find the particularity and methods of mythos resource exploitation, affirm the status of mythos at present time, and try to renew the traditional resource, change the embarrassing status of mythos in the tourism exploitation field.Finally, taking Wuhan as an example, the paper tries to validate the main point which was advanced in the forepart of the paper. It also takes bird mythos as a clue to structure the various types of tourism resources in Wuhan, talks about their image and the market position programs, creates specific products, and envisaged with a view to further confirm the myth as an important non-material and cultural resources.
