Automobile mixed-model assembly line is a more-variety and less-bath JIT flexible production system. The mixed-model production is an effective method to improve the competitiveness of automobile enterprise, and to satisfy with customers. The problem of automobile scheduling research for automobile mixed-model assembly line is a category of production logistics.Firstly, the paper has introduced the research status of automobile assembly line balance and scheduling. By analyzing the characteristics of the total assembly line, a solution has been given. And the indirection of assembly line system has been defined.Secondly, considering the assembly line aiming at several kinds of vehicles, the paper mainly focus on resolving the problem of the efficiency and time in the assembly line by choosing the method of TCPN. Using the method, the gained model can not only express the complicated system perfect, but also make the model easily understand.Thirdly, based on the model constructed on TCPN, the paper has made the simulation to the total assembly line using the simulation software—AutoMod. According to the total amount, the utilization and the average amount, a better project has been achieved by adjusting the resource allocation position and simulating the model several times.Finally, the paper has used the genetic algorithm to optimize production scheduling based on the balance of resource allocation position by AutoMod. The result of the optimization makes the vehicle total waiting time reduced. Furthermore it is verified that the combination of the two optimization methods is very effective for total assembly line. It is far-reaching for improving production efficiency, enhancing market response capabilities, and enhancing the comprehensive strength of enterprise.
