Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) is a form of continuous replenishment. In this form, provider brought forward the strategy of retailer's replenishment quantity based on customer's real-time sales volume and inventory information. The implementation of VMI help customers reduce the occurrence of out-of-stock situations, improve sales and customer satisfaction, at the same time help to reduce the supplier's inventory level and to facilitate the production implementation plan of the supplier. VMI become one of the important means for enterprise to increase the efficiency of the supply chain presently.In e-commerce environment based on modern information technology, VMI inventory management becomes more efficient and reliable. Retail enterprises rely on EDI or middleware technology to achieve the transition and transmission of orders automatically, on-line purchase, and on-line payments. Adoption of e-commerce makes new changes of business functions and processes of the traditional.This paper has summarized the VMI study of the status at home and abroad, combined with the retail inventory management's real business needs, business processes, as well as the data they actually owned under the EC environment, focusing on the implementation of VMI this paper selected two issues that need urgent solutions for analysis. First, replenishment quantity forecast for products in VMI: Used BP neural network to establish a replenishment quantity forecast model in VMI, used BP algorithm to solve the real problems. Second, retailing enterprise's VMI Business Process Reengineering under e-commerce business environment: Mentioned the method of A Petri net-based retail business VMI process reengineering, designed the VMI business process, studied the mutuality Petri net theory, established Petri net model, analyzed the correctness and rationality of the model using correlation matrix. Used ExSpect software to simulate the model, and analyzed the simulating results, further optimized the VMI process Petri net model, greatly reduced the business cycle, making the operation efficiency of enterprises significantly improved.
