At present, the vehicle monitoring system applies to in logistics distribution industry. The vehicle monitoring system being able to make enterprise have the vehicle real time position, it can provides necessary route leads, makes a vehicle avoid the traffic jam road, accomplishes the distribution mission on schedule. The current vehicle monitoring system has the shortcoming: the high communication expense, the lower system's stability and reliability, the low the poor visual performance and the loose combination with geographical information of the logistics distribution. At the same times, it can't provide all-round informations for the decision-making during logistics distribution process. So the improvement of vehicle monitoring system, not only being able to carry out effective supervisory control and controller on the vehicle in the process of distribution, reduce distribution cost, but also the study of vehicle monitoring system has important practical or immediate significance to relaxed the traffic pressure, improving the city road traffic capacity and vehicle safety.The paper in the view of structured the vehicle monitoring system, specifically for the systematic deficiency of current system. The system's target is taken the real time nature raising logistics distribution vehicle supervisory control system visualization result, reduces vehicle monitors cost and provide all-round informations for the decision-making during logistics distribution process, The paper structured the system of vehicles monitoring based on GPS, GIS, RFID, GPRS, GSM. The main researches in this paper are as follows:Firstly, the paper based on the technology needs of vehicles monitoring system in the process of logistics distribution and make analyzed to the logistics distribution business operation process. By the need analysis to system consumer, systematic operation process analysis and data process analysis, paper have established the systematic overall frame. On the basis, the thesis adopts the modularization and frame pattern with layers to design the system's frame and the model of vehicle monitoring. Secondly, the thesis design a kind of data transmission pattern based on GPRS/SMS to reduces vehicle monitors cost; the thesis classifying and organize the data which will be need in the process of logistics distribution vehicles monitoring, have realized function providing information support for logistics distribution decision-making; the thesis making use of Mapinfo platform and MapX map module improve to the visualization of distribution vehicle and goods real time supervisory control.Finally, the paper based on the platform of Maplnfo and uses the Visual Basic 6.0 to implement a system which include the function about visible of vehicles monitoring, wireless communication, query the information of distribution.The studies not only boost up the function of vehicle monitoring system, but also expand the domain of vehicle monitoring system for GIS and RFID. Along with system gradually consummation, the system's application surely going to reduce logistics distribution cost, improve the vehicle operation efficiency, and produce the fine economic effect and society effect.
