Studies On The Rural Residents' Consumption Structure Of Shandong Province

Consumption structure is a main brand in consumption economics. It's very important to study the trend and regularity of the inhabitants' consumption structure, which will promote to optimize the allocation of resources, guide the inhabitant to consume, coordinate and develop the national economy.Researches are done in empirical and normative ways, static and dynamic ways, and qualitative and quantitative ways in this thesis. Regression analysis, ELES model and Panel Data model are also used in some specific parts. Then an objective description is made about the situation of consumption structure of rural residents' in Shandong. It will offer basic information for further study of consumption problem of rural residents' in Shandong.Around the rural resident's consumption of Shandong Province, the thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter One: Introduction. Chapter Two: Concerning concepts and theories. Chapter Three: A qualitative description about the current situation of rural resident's consumption structure of Shandong, including the changing process of consumption structure, the differences of consumption structure between rural resident and city resident, and the differences of consumption structure among the 17 areas in Shandong. Chapter Four: A quantitative analysis by using the ELES model and Panel Data model. Chapter Five: Some useful ways to optimize the consumption structure of rural resident of Shandong.Innovations are: (1) An empirical study of consumption structure of rural residents' of Shandong is done by using time series data and cross-sectional data. MPC, income elasticity of demand and price elasticity of demand of rural residents' of Shandong are calculated by ELES model. They are valuable information in further study. (2) Panel Data model is first used to analysis the effect of regional factors and time factors of rural residents' consumption structure of Shandong.
