Evaluation Of Personal Credit Of College Student Credit Card

2004, the first college students credit card has been issued by Golden Credit Rating Inernational Company and Guangdong Development Bank jointly,just for 5 years, it achieves a rapid development from scratch. The number of student with college sutdent credit card has gradually increased. By the end of 2008, the proportion of college students having a credit card has been up to 37%. The major card-issuing banks pay too much attention to occupy the students'market, but neglect the evaluation of personal credit . As a result, the credit risk of college student credit card has been emerged and becomes serious. The problem becomes the focus of society, schools, parents ans relevant departments. Reasonable and objective credit rating can effectively reduce the occurrence of credit risk of college student credit card. It can promote the development of the students's market healthily and stability, as well as the entire credit card market.On the foundation of elaborating domestic and inrernational personal credit rating theories, according to the principle of setting up the index and the characteristics of college students, the article sets up the index system of the personal credit rating of college student credit card. The importance of every index is determined through the survey of some industry and financial experts. Then the score of every index is determined by use of AHP. The article builds the personal credit rating model with the cluster analysis method in order to evaluate the personal credit of college students having credit card. Finally, the article makes an empirical study of the model. The data required by the modle is obtained by the survey of some college students from 6 universities in Xi'an. The SPSS13.0 statistic software is used to calculate the results of empirical study. The feasibility of the index system and the rating model are demonstrated by the results analyzed detailedly and intensively.
