With the development of network technique and progress in manufacturing techniques, products are faced with fierce competition of homogeneity. In order to survive and succeed in the intense Red Sea market competition, it is the key factor for the modern enterprises to achieve products variety, customization, and instant mass individualization.Moreover, it is widely accepted that modularity, based on standardized interface and combined with multifunctional modules, is a useful means to achieve product variety, thus satisfying the heterogeneous customer demands under limited development time and resources.Based on previous traditional technological innovations theories and related researches, targeting with product project team, this paper comes up with definition and characteristics of modularity, discusses the innovation strategies of modular products and its influence factors , which is based on changes of products' architecture. Combined with Moderator Variables, I construct theoretical model and put forward some related hypotheses. Then I spent 15 days investigating in HuaQiangBei Electronic District and statistical analysis was executed by SPSS 18.0 software.According to the result of investigation and data analysis, three important conclusions are drawn and the model and hypotheses are adjusted. They are as follows:1) Through factor analysis, correlation analysis and analysis of variance, several factors affect the choice of product innovation strategy are resource adaptability, technical ability, competitive intensity, technical uncertainty and market uncertainty. There are remarkable differences at the above mentioned five factors among the different product innovation strategies and the five factors are related with the product innovation strategy.2) Through the regression analysis, we find out the key factors which affect the choice of different product innovation strategies,such as resource adaptability and competition intensity for incremental innovation, resource adaptability, technical ability, and market uncertainty for modular innovation, technical ability and market uncertainty for structural innovation, resource adaptability and technical ability for radical innovation. And this paper use the influence factors as index and construct discriminant analysis functions, which will help the product team examine the under way innovation strategy and find out the shortcomings of existing innovation strategy. It also points the way to a better strategy which is helpful for the product team to take appropriate measures so as to increase the successful probability of product innovation.3) Besides, we also find out that the innovative behaviors of modular product project team change from passive to proactive. This conclusion reflects the continuous improvement of the domestic innovation level.
