Does the shareholding motivation have a significant impact on the company's performance? If does, then how is the relationship between shareholding motivation and company's performance? Those are the issues we are trying to solve in the paper.The first part is the introduction, as well as the motivation to write this paper. This is mainly about five aspects. First is the social background of the research. Second is literature review. Third is the way of research, which is finding main issues from the analysis of the academic communities after literature review. Fourth, to fulfill the shortcomings of explanatory variables, interpreter variables and samples of domestic empirical research model in theory. It has reference value for listed companies to develop their shareholding motivation plans in reality. Fifth is about the innovation and limitation of the paper.In the second part, I first explain the object of this study, and then analysis the theoretical basis of the further study. Finally summarizes the eight major mode of shareholding motivation. Since the limitation of the datum selection, we only cover these eight modes in the empirical investigation.The third part, we explain the selection of company performance evaluation method. It covers EVA, Financial Indicators and how I combine those two methods.The fourth part is about the empirical investigation of shareholding motivation in listed companies. It contains the hypothesis, the object, the sample, the model and the results.In the fifth part, I summarize the conclusion and find out the possible causes and how the issues could be solved.
