In the "troika" which stimulate economic growth, consumption is the largest inertia force, it exerts most important and long-lasting motive force in economy growth. China's economy is gradually shifting from investment-led growth to consumption-led growth transformation. How-ever, the reality of China's economic growth in recent years is against the backdrop of slow growth in overall household consumption, high investment growth rate and low consumption rate co-exist, the rising economic and trade dependence on foreign. Especially, the U.S. sub-prime crisis triggered by the global financial crisis made the problem of insufficient consumer demand in China and further highlights in 2008, severely retarded the rapid development of China's economy. How to promote consumption in order to expand domestic demand has become a focus of attention and hot for our country.In this paper, by a large number of data, use the panel data model of research methods primarily, and through the model parameters estimation by EVIEWS5.0,empirical analysis income differences and regional differences in consumption structure's infection of China's urban residents. In this conclusion, based on the income disparities and regional differences for the two main factors, put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to further improve China's consumption structure of urban residents, With a view to expand domestic demand and promote economic development. This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction to explain the background and significance of topics of this article, research objectives, research methods and innovations, and gives the definition and classification of the consumption structure.The second part is the study of the status quo at home and abroad reviewed and described the research methods consumption structure, domestic and foreign research.The third part reviewed the main structure of our country's urban household consumption and consumer demand structural changes in the overall characteristics.. And from the view of static (general analysis) analysis the differences in consumption structure which cased by income differences and regional differences.The part four describes the research methods used in this article, and from the view of dynamic (empirical analysis) analysis the differences in consumption structure which cased by income differences and regional differences.The part five of this article summarize the conclusions of the study, according to the actual situation, making the consumption structure of China's urban residents tend to the rationalization of policy proposals.
