The Research And Practical Analysis On Performance Evaluation Of The Third Party Logistics

With the reinforcing of global economic integration, the competition between our country's third party logistics Enterprises is more keen in recent years. The entry of the foreign enterprises and the development of the native enterprises bring more competition. The comprehensive evaluation can help the TPL enterprise to find the advantages and the disadvantages, which can help them to achieve the success in the competition. Therefore it is important to evaluate the TPL enterprise's performance.Firstly, the paper introduces theories and methods of performance evaluation. Some questions of the performance evaluation of the third party logistics Enterprises are summarized and analyzed. Secondly, taking account to the shortage of performance evaluation on the indicator system, a set of brand-new modernized comprehensive evaluation indicator system is presented based on the balanced scorecard foundation, which give consideration to the TPL enterprise's general and special characters and the modernized factor. According to the shortage of performance evaluation on the method system, a subjective and objective combination weights approach is proposed based on the maximum entropy theory, which is more practical and effective. Finally, the AHP, the entropy power and the maximum entropy combination weights methods are used to evaluate the ten listed TPL enterprises of our country. The results of the weights and rank of evaluations are analyzed.Based on the comprehensive evaluation indicator system, this paper uses the maximum entropy combination weights method to evaluate the performance of logistic enterprises. It is useful for the managers to make decision. As the integrated service-oriented businesses, the third-party logistics enterprises are complicated. Therefore the indicators are selected not only representing the performance of the enterprises as accurately as possible but also considering available data. In the future, how to solve the problems existing in the enterprises should be studied based on the results.
