In 21st century, with the rapid development of the information technology, the taking shape gradually of globalization market, enterprises face competing for the resource and market in the world, the old management mode can't already meet such new need. Under the background of economy globalization, market competition is more drastic, the competition between enterprises has turn into competition between supply chains. The Supply chain management(SCM) arises rapidly and gradually turn into the new direction of enterprise management under this kind of background. With the development of supply chain management, the traditional inventory control theory faces the challenge. There is a great gap between supply chain inventory and traditional inventory theory. Inventory management is one of the oldest topics. However, the old doesn't mean an ignorance by entrepreneurs an scholars. Instead, with the school of management science and widely application of computer, especially the appearance of supply chain management, this ancient field has always been the frontier in production management researches. The forming of many new systems and new concepts are based on the thorough studies and thoughts on the basic concept of inventory. Now, inventory management is a very important part of supply chain management(SCM).Base on both domestic and foreign analysis of the history, current situation and future develop of inventory of deteriorating items, the thesis gives a study on inventory and pricing policy for deteriorating items.First of all, this part introduce the selected background and sense of the article, summarizes inventory management policy of deteriorating items in supply chain management.Secondly, the article gives an illustration of SCM theory, and introduces the theory of inventory control. Based on introducing the theory of supply chain management, this part introduces the classis methods of inventory management in the supply chain.Again, this paper makes emphases on integrated strategy for a deteriorating item. The fast part of the article develops an optimal ordering policy for a deteriorating item with a general demand rate. It studies mathematical modeling of vendor and buyer with shortage, and develops the integrated vendor-buyer strategy with losing clients during shortage in buyer. The second body part describes pricing and inventory policy in the supply chain composed of enterprises that sell deteriorative items when demand is price sensitive. It develops two kinds of mathematical modeling in the supply chain composed of single-vendor and multiple-buyers with integrated strategy or without integrated strategy, and gives an optimal pricing and ordering policy with integrated strategy.
