Research On Strategic Cost Management Of Thermal Power Enterprise Based On Value Chain Analysis

The strategic cost management is the combination of traditional cost management and strategy, which is suit for the changed competitive environment. The thesis constructs the strategic cost management system from aspects of strategic orientation, value chain analysis, performance evaluation, system correction with the strategic cost management theories for guidance. Firstly, the thesis points out the meaning of strategic cost management applied in thermal power enterprise. Secondly, it confirms the overall strategy and the general strategy through strategic orientation analysis from SWOT and competition dimensions. Thirdly, it analyzes value chain, identifies cost drivers, computes value chain cost, and points out control cost methods separately with internal and external value chain as classification according to the value chain theory. Finally, the thesis evaluates the performance of strategic cost management in thermal power enterprise adopting BSC gray correlation model.
