With the growing maturity of regional city tourism, excursions focus is gradually shifting to the suburbs. In recent years, suburbs have become a tourist (especially urbanite) first choice for short journey. In the mean time, driven by the tourism industry has great potential for the development of related local industries, provinces and municipalities are trying to promote tourism on the central generator of the local economy continued development. With emphasis on government and tourism enterprises, tourism has gradually become a suburb tourist market focus.Tourist routes, a central nervous connection of a suburban tourist attractions and scenic areas co-operations, to promote and facilitate regional multi-area, multi-economic development of tourist attractions. It is also a manifestation track of major tourist activities, directly affecting consumer satisfaction of tourists and tourism economy on the line.However, domestic tourism route planning has a lot of problems still exist, such as lack of an overall pattern, unreasonable designing, resources wasting and so on. At the same time as emerging of new tourism attactions and travel demand, especially the rise of Self Drive Tour on the tourist routes is becomming more comprehensive and stringent requirements. Many of the original travel routes can not fully satisfy the tourists' needs, and can not promote local tourism economic development any more.Therefore, this paper focuses on short-Self Drive Traveller, by using tourist routes optimization, tour planning studies, economics, regional economics,and the basic tourism theory to summarize routes designing of Chinese suburban distributed tourist attractions, and based on previous studies to develop a new optimizing menthod "FIVE-IN-ONE". It is used to optimizing current tourist routes to improve the traveller needs and effective promotion of regional tourism economic development results.A Dayi County case is used to prove "FIVE-IN-ONE" moenthod in terms of the combination of theory and practice. Two optimized routes are proposed for the original tourist routes in Dayi County, the results show that the optimized routes have similar total distance to the original one, but repeat route mileage has decreased by 75%, tourist experience were greatly improved. The characteristics and preferences of Self Drive Tour show that two different optimized routes focusing on the elderly and young people. They are effectively segament the tourism market to increase tourism consumption, and promoted the economic development of regional tourism.This author hopes that "FIVE-IN-ONE"optimization method is used for Self Drive Traveller to provide more route choices.This menthod will be used for empirical analysis and research on how to optimize the distributed suburban tourist attractions routes to enhance the core competitiveness of its tourism economy and how distributed tourist attractions in tourism planning and tourism market competition to improve edge.
