Since the 21st century, the rapid development of SMEs, have become a major force of the economic development. Since the new Round macro economic cycle started in 2008, the credit gap bring great troubles to the development of SMEs, which would have some effect on China's economic stability and development. In the light of SMEs' importance to the national economy and their current difficult operation environment, it is necessary to research into the SMEs' present financing problem and strives to find the solutions.This paper, firstly, based on asymmetric information and credit rationing theory, conducts an analysis on the existence of SMEs'credit gap and the general reason which cause the SMEs' credit gap. Secondly, we selected 40 listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 1993 to 2007 as our samples, Establishing an econometric models to large enterprises as the basis, made a comparative Study of the credit conditions for SMEs through stepwise regression, and proved the existence of our SMEs'credit gap from the evidence. Thirdly, the paper conducts an analysis on the factors restricting the financing of SMEs in China. By analyzing Relationship lending and small band advantage and the case of Tailong bank's practice, we show that small and medium-sized banks have the comparative advantage to loaning of SMEs. Finally, By Contacting the external environment of SMES and the developing of SMBs, the paper brings out some suggestions of how to develop SMBs and improve the credit guarantee system of SMEs.
