Dynamics Of Electronics And Information Industrial Cluster In Tianjin Binhai Newly Developed Area

Industrial cluster is becoming the dramatic strength to drive regional economic development. The government of Binhai Newly Developed Area (BNDA) is trying hard to make this area become the open- door and window to the outside of northern China and production & research base of high- technology. As the most important pillar industry of BNDA, electronics and information industry is of crucial important to the development of the newly developed area. The industry cluster development mode of electronics and information industry is showing huge accelerating momentum as while as some tough and urgent questions. This thesis takes electronics and information industry cluster in BNDA as study target and expects to reach three aims: first, to sum up the formation and development dynamics of industry cluster and put forward my own viewpoints, second, to make clearly the inside advantage and disadvantage, outside opportunity and threat through the SWOT analysis of electronics and information industry cluster in BNDA, third, to make explicitly the main factors and their interaction relationship of dynamics through the empirical analysis, to discuss the way and methods for promoting the industry cluster upgrade of electronics and information industry cluster and propose maneuverable countermeasures. This thesis has six chapters, the specific arrangement as the following:The first chapter is introduction. It mainly introduces the study background, study targets and meaning, evaluation of domestic and foreign study and study idea and methods of dynamics of electronics and information industry cluster.The second chapter introduces the theoretical basis of industry cluster dynamics. It defines industry, industry cluster and analyses the dynamics based on industry life cycle and global value chain and finally introduce the mean of electronics and information industry and electronics and information industry cluster, sum up the characters of electronics and information industry cluster.The third chapter analyses the present situation of electronics and information industry cluster. It summarizes the history evolution and development condition of the two big electronics and information industry cluster in Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta of our country. It also distinguishes electronics and information industry cluster using location quotient, analyses and concludes the inside strength and weakness, outside opportunity and threat on the basis of SWOT analysis.The forth chapter is dynamics empirical analysis to electronics and information industry cluster in BNDA. It firstly introduces the principle of choosing factors, analyses the mechanism of dynamic factors and then filters the dynamic factors, finally finds the main driving factors of electronics and information industry cluster in BNDA applying principle component analysis.The fifth chapter presents present countermeasures and suggestion for the development of electronics and information industry cluster in BNDA. It puts forward countermeasures and suggestion from the aspects of coordinating development among different regions, global value chain, and government functions, the integration of production, teaching and research, industry cluster embeddedness, humanity capital and so on.The seventh chapter is the conclusions and outlook of the whole thesis. The conclusion of SWOT can be sum up as the following:take part in actively both in domestic and international market to realize upgrade in electronic and information industrial cluster in Tianjin BNDA; coordinating the relationship among Beijing, Tianjin,and Hebei to achieve complementary strengths and industrial transfer;constantly improving location attractiveness to attract companies excellent in providing the auxiliary items. The outcome of PCA analysis is the dynamics of electronic and information industrial cluster including five factors (location factor, technology factor, financial environment factor, international market factor, government factor). It also sums up the merits and shortcomings of the study and makes some suggestions for the later study.
