As the development of the internet, a new opportunities has been brought to tourism, the advantage of network,such as convenience,interactivity and real time,which has attracted tradition tourism into the modern network. How to promote the development of travel website has become the focus of Governments and tourism enterprises.Firstly, the paper discuss the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges; Secondly,combining the online travel data in recent years, Analysis of the differences of travel site business model between China and U.S; Thirdly,Take Ctrip and Expedia for example, expound the differences of travel site business model between China and U.S; finally, discuss the enlightenment for our country of travel websites .On the basis of analysis,the paper draws the following conclusions:(1) From the view of the development of travel websites in China, after 10 years of tortuous development, our travel website growth steady and rapidly, achievement is gratifying. But we also should realized the lack of uniqueness.(2) From the view of the development of travel websites in the U.S. although the online travel booking market growth rate did not show significant increase, but had to admit the travel website build its own characteristics are superior.(3) Although the time of travel site emergence is not long, the development speed rapidly and potential strongly. the government and tourism enterprises should take active measures to expand the positive impact, promote the long-term development of China's tourism industry.
