From December 11, 2006, the Chinese banking sector to fulfill its WTO commitments of the five-year transitional period has ended, China's banking sector opening up the full implementation of commitments. In other words, foreign banks will enter China through various financial markets, although foreign banks to bring advanced management experience and a new concept of financial services, but also to China's economic and financial bring some negative impact. In addition, once the foreign banks had a problem, you will not only affect the foreign bank itself, but will affect the domestic banking system and even the normal operation of the entire financial system. In 2008 by the U.S. sub-prime mortgage crisis has caused global financial crisis has caused governments to the supervision of foreign banks re-think. Foreign banks to enter our country only a short time, so monitoring with other developed countries, there is a gap, therefore, combined with China's national conditions, use of foreign banks in developed countries regulatory experience, as well as the financial crisis influence on the sound the supervision of foreign banks in China, has a certain practical significance.In this paper, discussing the context of the full liberalization of China to strengthen supervision of foreign banks to issue, on the supervision of foreign banks to conduct an analysis of the theory to explain the definition of foreign bank supervision and theoretical foundation, the basic principles of supervision of foreign banks and content, through supervision of foreign banks in other countries to compare, by drawing on the successful practices in different countries, and supervision of foreign banks in our country, real problems and put forward specific proposals to improve supervision of foreign banks.In order to facilitate this research work, this paper is structured as follows: the first is the introductory chapter to introduce the background and significance of this research, literature review, research methods and structured thinking; second chapter is an overview of the theory of supervision of foreign banks, related to the concept of foreign banks had set out to introduce the theoretical basis for the supervision of foreign banks, as well as practical basis; third chapter supervision of foreign banks in international comparison, first introduced the content of supervision of foreign banks and regulatory principles, and then follow the foreign-funded banks market access, market operations, market exit 3 link through to the national supervision of foreign banks to conduct a comparative analysis; fourth chapter is the development and regulation of foreign banks in China the status quo, pointing out that our country supervision of foreign banks operating in the specific number of problems ; fifth chapter in the supervision of foreign banks that exist in a number of issues to improve foreign investment bank supervision measures in order to promote better development.
