The framing effects, describe that presenting the same option into different formats can alter people's decisions.Kahneman and Tversky pointed out that the frame of question would influence people's risk-choice, even occurrs risk-averts. In the following years, there're great deals of studies about the framing effects. Many researches have proved the existence of the framing effect. But previous research on framing effects has largely foused on how choice information framed by external sources influences the response of a decision maker. This research examined how decision makers framed their own frame and how the self-framing influenced their rick-choice,also, this research examined how decision makers influenced by the self-esteem and external framing. This study includes two experiments. In experiment 1, we examined how self-esteem and self-framing influence participants'decision in three decision-tasks which were compiled by Zhang Weihui. In experiment 2, we examined how self-esteem and external framing effects influenced participants'decision in three decision-tasks which were adapted by the meterials used in experiment 1. Combining with the two experiment results, our results are as follows:(1)The self-framing effects and external framing effects were existed, however, both of them lack internal consistency among the three tasks.(2)The level of participants'self-esteem influenced their self-framing.The participants have high self-esteem score are more likely to form positive self-framing and the low self-esteem participants are more likely to form nagative self-framing.(3)The discrepancy between the hedonic tone of gamble option and the sure option influenced participants'decision-making. While the discrepancy is large, decision makers are eaier to make a gamble option, and verse.(4)The level of self-esteem didn't have influence on risk-choice and framing effects.
