"PRC Circular Economy Promotion Law" was promulgated in 2008. All the enterprises were asked to take the responsibility of recycling and remanufacturing of their products. At the same time, the idea and strategy of circular economy were widely spread in China. Therefore, nowadays it is high time to bring the remanufacturing process into the former supply chain, and pay much more attention to the management of manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system.The feature of return items is high uncertainty, the characteristics of the inventory structure in manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system is dual-resource, both of them make it become the extremely hardest challenge for the enterprises. That is why the study on the inventory control in manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system would be helpful for the enterprises. The pursuit of no stock and stability of products is the core of lean production. Consequently, lean thinking will help a lot to research further on the inventory control in manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system.Chapter 1:Current theories of lean production, remanufacturing and the inventory control model are discussed, and then the main researching targets and significance of the paper are presented.Chapter 2:With an analysis of manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid process and the lean production management, the active role of lean production to manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system is underlined. The optimization of reverse logistics process in remanufacturing system brought by lean tools is emphasized.Chapter 3:Based on the analysis of the features and stock structure in manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system, according to the particularity of inventory control in lean environment, a kind of improved strategy is developed to achieve both source control and real-time control.Chapter 4:The original inventory model in manufacturing/remanufacturing is improved according to the proposed lean strategy. Considering the uncertainty, using lean remanufacturing design and PULL supply in dual-resource inventory control, lean inventory control model in manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system is built.Chapter 5:Lean inventory control model is applied to an actual case of engine remanufacturer. Using Delphi to simulate it in certainty/uncertainty conditions respectively, the lean inventory control model in manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system is proved to be more effective by analyzing the results and comparing with the traditional inventory control model.Chapter 6:The main conclusions are summarized and the future development is prospected.
