The Study About Governance Path Choice Of The Present Wealth Gap In China

The wealth gap between the rich and the poor under the new situation at present in China has led to new problems and contradictions, and has attracted the academia, the media and the public's concern. However, the study about the gap of the income distributions today can not yet estimate generally the current status of China's wealth gap and its causes. It can not only find a practical solution to the gap between the rich and the poor,but also is of great practical significance for building a harmonious society to take advantage of the concepts about the wealth difference between the poor and the rich,which are used widelier than those of the income distribution gap are done and can better express the wealth gap, to study the various social problem caused by the larger and larger gap.This paper firstly surverys the wealth gap in China rationally from the angle of combining theory with practice. Undoubtedly it is proved that China's growing gap between the rich and the poor is expanding increasingly whether by analyzing that from the overall trend of income gap and the five dimentions—regions, urban and rural areas,professions,social ranks,apparent and latent income or by studying from the main indexes—financial assets,housing,consumer durables,luxurious consumables.Then,the paper combs the causes of the expanding wealth gap from the aspects of social insitution,social structure, the difference of human resource's stock and the difference of information. In drawing on international experience on the treatment of the wealth gap between the rich and the poor, and on the base of the analysis of comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the three governance paths which many scholars have made:institutional reform, "big cake" and wealth transfer,it offers enlightenment attempting to propose retional solution path choice for the current wealth gap in China.This paper focuses on the observation and analysis from multi-dimensional perspective, and the combination of institutional economics, economics, sociology, statistics and other disciplines, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, macro analysis and micro analysis, static analysis and dynamic analysis and comparative analysis of combined other methods, studies the governance path system of the wealth gap in China at the present stage. The paper's outstanding features are two aspects. Firstly, it not only analyzes the income inequality from the five dimensions,but also analyzes the wealth gap, so that it can more comprehensively anatomize current status of our country and the reasons for the gap between the rich and the poor. Secondly, the paper put forward the wealth gap governance path for choice through closely integrating theory with comparing study:"One Body and Two Wings, Benefit Sharing".
