This thesis uses the commercial activities at the Lu-Ze areas for the line, the Location Theory of economical geography for the frame, and the Lu silk and Lu iron goods'production and sales for the examples.Meanwhile, it connects lots of historical materials and documents to analyze the causes of the rise of the commercial activities at the Lu-Ze areas while Ming dynasty.The thesis uses the way of theory analysis plus historical materials and documents analysis.This analysis process is divided three steps basing on three location factors provided by Alfred Weber's Industrial Location Theory. From simply to complex, the analysis becomes deeper and deeper step by step. Transportation expense theory explains the cause of Lu iron goods'rise. But it is unsuitable for analyzing the rise of Lu Silk, which isn't losing weight during producing process.Further then, the location factor basing on transportation expense has been changed the first time.Then, the next part of the thesis points out the influence of Labor theory. With the development of commercial measurement and the increasing of the population size, the location factor basing on transportation expense and labor has been changed once more. It does the theory of agglomeration.Besides to the influences of these three location factors, that the influence factors also contain other factors,such as governmental policy, military distribution, population movement, traffic condition, market requirement, city function, and so on.The next part of the thesis analyzes the influence factors from the government supporting policy, consumer market's formation and traffic perfection.Government supporting policy not only provides wealthy material basis, but also makes the possibility of the city boom.Requirement is the main reason of consumer market's formation. Convenient traffic makes easier for the circulation of commodities, and promotes the formation of the important goods distribution center.The purpose of this thesis is analyzing the causes of the rise of the commercial activities at the Lu-Ze areas while Ming Dynasty by Location Theory. The writer considers that besides to an easy natural environment and rich natural resources, the causes of the rise include other social factors, such as the policy supporting of Ming government, the requirement of the nationwide consumer market,the effect of regional agglomerations,the traditional commercial culture of local people and the improvement of the traffic.
