On The Economic Thought Of Mao Zedong In Yan'an Period

Yan'an period is significant for Mao Zedong for he became the core leader of the Communist Party of China during this period. In order to overcome the economical difficulties;to lay the material foundation for winning the anti-Japanese War and the new democratic revolution, Mao Zedong has studied a lot, in theory and in practice of the economical development of the revolutionary base and put forward many views during this period. Some views appear to still have great practical significance so far. This paper, taking the basic principles of Marxism as a fundamental research method, in reference to existing research results, based on analysis of the historical literature and comparably using the method of history and logics, discusses the economic thought of Mao Zedong in Yan'an period,analyzes the characteristics of his thoughts,historical meanings and practical inspiration for the present time,aiming to provide some resource and reference for China's economical development.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part, from the background, historical basis,realistic basis and individual conditions explains the appearing of the economic thought of Mao Zedong in Yan'an period, which reveals that Mao Zedong's economic thought is subjective and objective,internal and external factors worked together.The second part discusses the main content of Mao Zedong's economic thought in Yan'an period.It is mainly revolved around the exposition of the essence of Mao Zedong's economic thought, new democratic economic ideology, the economic construction at the revolutionary base area and use of the foreign investment, etc.It also points out the great exploration and contribution Mao Zedong had made in theory.The third part analyzes and summarizes a number of features of the economic thought of Mao Zedong in Yan'an period. These features are mainly the current interests and long-term interests linked, targeted and comprehensive unity, independently and relying on foreign aids combined and economical development and other developments developing together.The fourth part describes the historical role and inspiration of his economic thought.The historical role is concerned, from the practical point of view, it promots the economical development of the revolutionary base areas;in theory, it provides the conditions for the maturity of Mao Zedong's thoughts;In party building, it provides economical guidelines for the Chinese Communist Party taking powers in the local area. As to the present time,it tells us that the economical and social development must proceed from reality, we must adhere to the people's interests, and we must adhere to the principles of overall consideration.
