In the international arena, when it encounters the bad economy, downsizing becomes an important means for companies to respond to crises. In the current international financial crisis, corporate downsizing-impulse and action is obvious. Along the time, in the theoretical and academic world, the major concerns are the layoffs'legal interests, psychological pacity, re-employment assistance, the social responsibility and social reputation in the downsizing; but the remaining, that is, layoffs survivors'psychological feelings and attitudes on work behavior has insufficient attention. The survivors are selected to be the most important human resources. How to make their attitudes and behaviors not be subjected to the impact of layoffs, and be willing to stay, which are the challenges to the managers and the enterprise itself. Therefore, the paper has an very important significance.The study is targeted to the the survivors who have experienced downsizing, investigate survivors'perception of the downsing plan, the effect on their psychological contract and their attitudes and behaviors, and whether does the downsizing supporting measures reduce the possible negative reaction.The research hypothesis are partially verified. The conclusions are:there are some differences among the survivors cognitives of the corporate downsizing and the demographics variables; the survivors cognitives of the downsizing cause, overall plan are impact on their psychological contract; the changes of the survivors'psychological contract has a a positive influence to the the job satisfaction and turnover intention; survivors' growing demand and the corporate downsizing supporting measures affect the surviors' psychological contract; Survivors'attitudes and behavior have no direct impact on revenue growth rate, but affect profit margin.Finally, thre are some proposals:the preparatory work, layoffs participation and the communication before the downsizing; the fairness, employees participation, the maintenance of interpersonal relationships and communication in the downsizing; the implementation of the corporate downsizing supporting measures.
