With the rapid economic growth and the improvement of people's income levels, the consumption structure has changed a lot in china. The great growth in the number of vehicles as well as the growth of other consumer goods indicates that there will be a large number of the end-of-life vehicles abandoned in the near future. If those end-of-life goods cannot be properly dealt, the living environment will suffer a powerful influence. In order to solve the environmental destruction problem brought by end-of-life goods effectively, through years of exploration, many scholars introduce the EPR into product manufacturing industry requiring manufacturers to assume the responsibilities for the recycling of the end-of-life products.EPR stressed the recycle responsibility of the manufacturer. According to the implicit requirement of EPR, manufacturers must recycle the end-of-life vehicles which reach the recycling standards. However, the success of the recycling also depends on whether the users participate actively. There is no explicit request on the vehicles users in EPR system, so the participation of them is uncertain. As a starting point, the consumers are introduced into the EPR research in this thesis to explore the factors that influence the consumers'participation in the end-of-life vehicle recycling, and strategic proposal based on these factors has been raised to promote active participation of consumers'participation ensuring vehicle recycling can be successful.First, the development of automobile industry in china has been reviewed in this paper, the data indicates that there is a dramatic increase in the quantity of the vehicles in China. The number of vehicles increased, leading to the increase of end-of-life vehicles, this will inevitably affect the environment, thus giving the necessity of the EPR system for end-of-life vehicle recycling. Second, the framework of the influencing factors obtained through the game. Framework of the factors involved in government, manufacturers and consumers, provides the empirical analysis of the model with raw material. Inspired by the literatures, this article integrates the framework factors by means of the Reasoned Action theory, classified as subjective norms and attitude of action. The subjective norms contain the recovery status, the manufacturer actions and the government actions; the attitudes toward the actions contain the attitude to improvement of the recovery status, the attitude to second-hand trade and the attitude to subsidies categories. In the Theory of Reasoned Action, subjective norm and action attitudes influence on actions intent, this has been tested through empirical analysis in this paper. The results show that the attitude of improvement of the recovery status produces positive effects on the recycling concept intention and exerts positive effects on the action intention. Attitude of second-hand trade does not produce negative effects on the recycling concept intention as well as the action intention; Attitude of subsidies categories produce negative effects on the recycling concept intention and action intention; The recovery status produce positive effects on the recycling concept intention and action intention; The manufacturer actions produce positive effects on recycling concept intention and action intention; The government action does not show positive effects on concept intention or on action intention. Finally, this study aims to find out the way to inspire the active participation of the vehicle owners in the recycling process and propose strategic suggestions from both subjective norms and action attitudes.
