A Study On The Impact Of RMB Exchange Rate Changes On Chinese Furniture Export Trade

In recent years, the export of furniture industry which is the important part of China forestry industry has been growing rapidly. We have become the biggest world's exporter of furniture in 2006.The export's growth of furniture has been second to that of high-tech products, whose exports have the fastest growing speed. Not only rapid developments of furniture' foreign trade has become the important driving force for the development of our forestry industry, but also it has become the significant road and way of solving employment and income-increased problems. exchange rate of RMB has upward trend. This causes some uncertainty for furniture's export. Generally, positive analysis many scholars find that exports of products haven't been affected by raising exchange rate, instead it was good for export. So how does the fluctuation of RMB's exchange rate affect our furniture's export? This article, from classical theories of relations between export of products and exchange rate, sums up and sorts out a lot of researches made by foreign and domestic experts. it studies relations between fluctuations of RMB's exchange rate and our export of furniture from the theory point and positive point, and concludes indexes which show that the variation of RMB's exchange rate affects our export of furniture, and explains the related positive conclusions. Finally aiming at the existed problems and positive conclusions, it gives countermeasures and suggestions from government macro-point and firm micro-point.
