Development Research Of Consumer Finance In China

In August of 2009, CBRC promulgated The Experimental Regulations of Consumer Finance Company, and each bank is at concert pitch. Compared to developed countries, there are fewer financial institutions types engaged in consumer banking business in our country, and the ratio of consumptive loan to the total lending is relatively lower. The establishment of consumer financial companies plays a positive and meaningful role in broadening channels of individual consumer loan financing and diversifying consumer loan. It is conductive to satisfy different needs for different groups of consumers, thus promoting individual consumption. At the mean time, it drives the needs of other relevant industries, promoting the economic transition from being investment dominant to consumption dominant, and shaking off excessively dependence of GDP on exports and fixed assets investment.Starting from consumer finance, this paper points out systems and market environment of overseas consumer finance companies by analyzing the whole state of development and their characteristics. And it also describes overall environment of domestic consumer finance companies considering its development since our reform and opening. Moreover, this article presents with the extensive research from the aspect of microcosmic entity—consumption finance companies. Foreign consumer finance through history, the establishment of forms and product characteristics of the analysis and draw on China's consumer finance companies want to help the development. It also provides analysis and references for development history, setting forms and characteristics of products of overseas consumer finance. Hopefully, the resources presented here will be of assistance. Because consumer finance companies are just launching pilot projects and some details are not yet made public, the essay probes into some problems in developing the companies on the emphasis of systems and market environment and offers some relevant advices.
