The Study On The Design Of Viewing And Rest Spot In Karst Scenic Areas

The "South China Karst" World Natural Heritage Project composed by Yunnan Shilin Karst, Chongqing Wulong Karst and Guizhou Libo Karst, has successfully passed the 2007 World Heritage Convention 31 vote, and entered the World Heritage List. It is natural to develop heritage tourism in the "South China Karst" World Natural Heritage. Then how to promote the protection of heritage sites in the tourism development, and promote the exchanges between regional socio-economic development and culture, becomes the focus of development.This thesis begins with viewing and rest spot, through constructinga system ofviewing and rest spot in Karst scenic spots, from the landscape perspective, toexplore the sustainable development of natural ecological environment and economic culture at heritage sites, with the hope to find an effective way.Based on the cooperation of Urban and Rural Planning Design Institute of Sichuan Province, Chongqing Wulong Karst World Natural Heritage Scenic Management Committee and related experts, from the perspective of sustainable development, through field investigation, literature review, the thesis obtained a large number of information, and according to the system theory(through the internal elements, structure and function analysis, took the scenic viewing and rest spot as an organic whole), combined the "karst", "World Heritage" and "Viewing and Rest Spot", theory with reality, case studies with case practice, analyzed it through the comparative and comprehensive methods.Main contents of the thesis include:the importance of development of Karst tourism and research on the spot to "South China Karst" World Natural Heritage sites; according to the characters of "Karst" and "World Heritage", researched the heritage tourism Viewing and Rest Spots comprehensively; from the landscape perspective, the thesis researched the internal and external space constitute elemental of the Viewing and Rest Spot, it also carried out longitudinal studies with national characteristics and summary on its composition characteristics and cultural connotation from the theme; and through analysis of the current situation of a typical successful case Viewing and Rest Spot at Shilin Karst heritage tourism, provided the reference to study of the design of this kinds of Viewing and Rest Spots; it took Chongqing Wulong Heritage as an example, carried out practices according to the research results summarized above on spots of the Viewing and Rest Spots design, furthered and deepened method and theory; it finally followed "theory-practice-theory" research approach, and combination the practice results of the Viewing and Rest Spots at Wulong Heritage Areas, advanced a landscape integration model of sustainable development for the construction of the Viewing and Rest Spots suits Karst heritage tourism areas.The main conclusions of the thesis are.as follows:from the landscape significance, it constructed a viewing system suits the characteristics of heritage tourism viewing and rest spot design; it got the design characteristic and methods of the viewing and rest spot design in Karst Heritage area;also it advanced landscape integration model which based on natural karst scenic resource protection and sustainable development of tourism in the construction of viewing and rest spot.
